Creating a cadre of local resource personnel which would be available to the federation for providing livelihood promoting services and

To capacitate the board to frame governance protocol for livelihood promotion services

The project has formed activity groups and water users groups, and facilitated the process of framing bye laws. The project has installed a community irrigation system. The project designed governance protocol for procurement and supply of input materials for paddy, wheat and vegetable cultivation. The project has facilitated board and project team in enterprise development in packaged flour, upgrading skills in wheat, paddy and vegetable cultivation. The most significant success related to micro -enterprise development was on wheat processing and marketing package flour. The venture was initiated with a working capital grant of ` 11500/- and has after refunding the grant in its community fund has accrued a benefit worth ` 3800/-.

The project aim of bringing significant improvement in health and nutrition status of people in which federation will provide logistic support in the implementation of the whole process of community empowerment by identifying facilitator to conduct community level activities ,capacity building and handholding support, regular review and monitoring. The proposed project will be implemented by JagratiNari Shakti MahilaSwawalambiSahakariSamiti Ltd in Maner block of Patna district. The project intends to focus on reducing malnutrition in the proposed 4 Panchayat of Maner block due to various reasons

The Project mainly focuses on 87 SHGs/ member and their families of four panchayats. The project aims to ensure targeted SHGs /member increased access to nutrition, enhance their awareness and capacity to reduce malnutrition.

In the process of developing capacities of WDC Programme Officers, a partnership effort is being done with Institute of International Education (IIE) for the Leadership Development for Mobilizing Reproductive Health Program (LDM). The program is making effort to realize its vision through a critical mass of diverse leaders, working individually and collectively, has affected systemic changes that improve reproductive health options and overall quality of life, especially for vulnerable populations. In this regard, continuing the work on women’s leadership, LDM in collaboration with Women Development Corporation (WDC) has developed a cadre of master trainers on leadership with WDC Programme Officials, who have roll out leadership training for women SHG leaders at the community level. Through an intense 15-day TOT module, 25 master trainers (including Leadership Fellows) in Bihar have reached out to about 1000 women leaders over the 11 months time period.

WDC and UNICEF partnered with clear understanding with regard to community mobilization for prevention of child marriage. The intervention has been titled “BHAGIDARI”, which means "participation" in Hindi, aims to involve each section of community for changing the harmful traditional practice of child marriage that is both a cause and a consequence of Gender Based Violence (GBV). The project has 3 point objectives

To transform community norms that underpin child marriage through multiple channels: peer educators, formal and non-formal leaders, community-based organizations, the school system and a behaviour change communication (BCC) campaign;

To scale-up positive practices through integration of these interventions in WDC & UNICEF's ongoing multi-sector programming,

To advocate for the establishment and enforcement of laws and policies that address child marriage and other forms of gender based violence at the district and state levels

The Pilot phase of Project has achieved to develop a smooth community owned and managed effort for the purpose of preventing the children from the curse of child marriage.

The state plan of action for prevention on child marriage and dowry is in process of development.
